stinkfoot: Chino next to me on the balcony, 09-13-2010 Pittsburgh, PA – Club Zoo  Me, Natalie, and our friend all got to the show pretty early, and most of the bandmates were meandering around the bus.  It was a super laid-back atmosphere, as they surely remembered us from our many encounters in the past.  We exchanged hellos with Frank, Abe, Stephen, and Chino. The venue is in Pittsburgh’s Strip District which is famous for weird shops and street vendors.  Chino and Abe disappeared down the street for a few minutes and soon returned with Chino wearing a new beanie…in the heat of mid-September.   Later, Chino was riding his bike around and we asked him where his skateboard was, encouraging him to try to some moves on the bike.  He was shy and laughing saying, “Sometimes I like to switch it up. No tricks though.”  At one point he cruised by, hunched over on his bike, with a can of pineapple in his hand wearing that stupid beanie. In this picture, he pointed to me before playing “Passenger” and said, “I want to go to that motherfucker over there.”  I helped him up onto the platform and got to sing the last part of the song into the mic with him.  He gave me a big handshake and smile.  Clearly, I am the guy with glasses and a corny grin. It was a good time.  I’ll post pictures and stories from other Deftones shows in the future. You look like Steven Wilson, man.
